RXLive ensure great care and processes have been implemented within their pharmacy process both online and within the dispensary to safeguard patient’s personal data. RXLive approved pharmacies are all registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have their own data protection/privacy policy to ensure your personal data is safe, RXLive still request their standard operating procedures to ensure this process. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors; in this policy we explain how we will treat your personal information and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (see GDPR policy for more information).  

As users access the website RXLive would not capture the data or store information based on the user’s credentials. RXLive would store/capture information when patients sign on to the application voluntarily to fill out the form and when they are ordering products, but these are stored securely on our patient record system and are used by us only. RXLive may use extracted data for trends to develop services but not patient’s identities. RXLive do not sell/forward your personal information to third party organisations or individuals (we only provide it if consent is given by yourself to/for a carer/parent to manage your prescription). By using our website and agreeing to this policy, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy. 

1. Collecting personal information 

1.1) We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information:  

(a) Information about your computer and about your visits to and use of this website (including your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation paths). We are using location services to find your nearest pharmacy or GP. 

(b) Information that you provide to us when registering with our application or website including your email address / telephone number, date of birth, first and last name, gender, NHS exemption status or card details (if you pay for your NHS prescription), medication list, GP surgery and chosen pharmacy. 

(c) Information that you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our email notifications and/or newsletters (including your name and email address). 

(d) Information relating to any purchases you make of our goods (including your name, delivery address, payment address, telephone numbers, email address and card details). 

(e) Information that you post to our website for publication on the internet (including your user name, profile pictures and reviews) however we ask for your consent before we do this. 

(f) Information contained in or relating to any communication that you send to us via a contact us form or query forms.

(g) We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

(h) You are legally entitled to request details of the personal information which we hold about you, under the UK’s Data Protection Act 1998.

2.1) Personal information submitted to us through our website will be used for the purposes specified in this policy or on the relevant pages of the website / application.

(b) Enable your use of the services available on our website, signing/nominating patients to the pharmacy they have chosen on the application (stored securely on our patient record system and application).

(c) Send you goods purchased through our website. 

(d) Send statements, invoices and payment reminders to you, and collect payments from you. 

(e) Send you non-marketing commercial communications. For example, if a pharmacist or a member of staff will have to contact you in regards to a query about your medication, order or a general enquiry. 

(f) Send you email notifications that you have specifically requested, via application or website. 

(g) Send you our email newsletter; if you have requested it (you can inform us at any time if you no longer require the newsletter). 

(h) Provide third parties with statistical information about our users (but those third parties will not be able to identify any individual user from that information). 

(i) Deal with enquiries and complaints made by or about you relating to our website. 

(j) Keep our website secure and prevent fraud. 

(k) Verify compliance with the terms and conditions governing the use of our website to General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC) or Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspectors/regulators.

2.3) If you submit personal information for publication on our website, we will publish and otherwise use that information in accordance with the license you grant to us. 

2.4) We will not, without your express consent, supply your personal information to any third party for the purpose of their or any other third party’s direct marketing. 

2.5) All our website financial transactions are handled through our payment services provider Stripe You can review the provider’s privacy policy at www.stripe.co.uk/gb we will share information with our payment services provider only to the extent necessary for the purposes of processing payments you make via our website/application, refunding such payments and dealing with complaints and queries relating to such payments and refunds.

3.1) We may disclose your personal information to any of our employees, officers, insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this policy.

We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure (password- and firewall-protected) servers.
